1947 - 2000

Though the art direction and general vibe began to trend towards to the jejune in the decade or so prior to the magazine's folding — Audio was once a stunning catalogue of all things audiophile. Of course, if you're into hi-fi sound, there was a lot to dig into — but what made this monthly special was the combination of creative layouts, product staging and just the general quality of equipment being produced from the 50s through the 80s. There is so much design inspiration to be found in back issues.
