This book could in and of itself be a leadership development seminar.

There are so many otherwise brilliant leaders who can't help but drain performance out of the people around them. On the other side of the coin, we have otherwise lack luster leaders who can consistently stimulate, motivate, and get great work out of their direct reports.

Wiseman labels the former as diminishes, and the latter multipliers —people who use whatever smarts accessible to them to stimulate and enhance the creativity of the group.

This is the rare book that generally avoids the incredibly common self improvement path and instead focusing on being in service of those around you, which in our experience, is what ultimately matters the most as a senior leader.
