Jan Mlodozeniec's movie posters are absolutely iconic. Seriously, look up any of your favorite movies from the 70s or 80s and he probably designed a stunning poster for it. They're about as painter-like as posters get, deeply influenced by Polish folk art and feature childlike simplicity with flat, rich colors & large black contour lines. A client once told us that part of the reason why his posters are so beautiful and unique is that he was never allowed to see the films that he designed the posters for — he was only able to read the scripts. Beautiful if true.
