Kelly Wearstler’s Malibu Surf Shack

The star designer created a Malibu escape for her family and close friends mid pandemic and boy did she nail the brief.

Initially build in the early 1950s, this stunning and undersized house on over an acre of space is rich with both traditional MCM but also Japanese touches. As you might imagine considering the home's occupant, it is stunningly decorated. In some spots it feels to be tad too much (that dining table spread) but this is for Kelly, not for us. Beautiful stuff.
